The state insurance and provident fund department, Government of Rajasthan was established in Rajasthan as a welfare measure with a view to provide economic & social security to all the employees of the Government of Rajasthan. Initially the department started with only 8000 employees under its umbrella in 1943. As on 12-Jul-2019, approximately 8.72 lakh SI Policy Holders and 4.38 lakh GPF account holders are being benefited under these schemes.
